How to survive a cold summer

Wearing: Mango flare jeans (now on sale!), Vintage suede tench coat, ZARA suede boots (similar here),  fedora hat

A cold summer? This may sound a bit weird but to all of you living in the Netherlands it makes total sense. It is quite sad actually. It is 21st of June, come on! I should be wearing dresses and complaining about how warm it is instead. But, -oh well!!- since we are having more of an autumn than a summer, I had to think of how to survive. Here my suggestions:

Go out no matter what: It takes more effort to decide to leave the comfort and warmth of your place when the weather is not perfect. But once you are outside it is not that bad. Fresh air is always nice.
Buy flowers: Flowers have the power to change your mood, especially on a cold grey day. Brighten up your day and fill your house with some colorful flowers.
Layer: Layering is the key to being able to wear some of your summer clothes in cold days. Be creative, mix and match.
Wear suede:  So happy suede is THE fabric of the season; it makes it fashionable to get through the cold summer days while keeping warm.
Embrace denim: Don't go back to black! I know the weather calls for it, but remember:  it is still summer so wear light colors! Denim is my main choice.
Don't lose hope: you never know, the weather may change and we get a warm summer after all. So keep the good attitude, smile and go on.

Happy (cold) summer everyone!
